Erika Kain

Originally from Alaska, Erika (she/her) has called Fox Valley home since 2019.

She’s been a passionate advocate for the LGBTQ+ community since coming out at 18, and currently co-leads her company’s global LGBTQ+ employee resource group, where she’s committed to creating welcoming, affirming spaces, and educating others on LGBTQ+ experiences to help foster empathy and connection.

Erika first discovered Belong after attending a Cheers, Queers event in early 2024, and she immediately knew she wanted to be part of the magic Belong brings to the local queer community. Now living in Batavia with her adorable pup, Archibald, Erika is a familiar face at Cheers, Queers and the Belong Hangout.

When she’s not building community, you’ll find her diving into fantasy novels, playing board games, cheering on her favorite hockey teams, or exploring new foodie spots. She’s thrilled to bring her energy, heart, and love for community to Belong: Fox Valley!
